Japan Cherry Blossom (Sakura) Season
The cherry blossom finally bloomed and everybody was out at night around the castle and Kenrokuen park viewing the glorious sights bathed by floodlights in the dark warm evening. The grounds of the castle and park were free to enter and I guess provide a big tourist attraction to the city of Kanazawa. Anyway here is a selection of pics to give you an idea of what it is like.
Here is the cherry blossom reflecting in the water of a pool in Kenrokuen park. This park used to be the garden of the wife of the Samorai lord.

Here is a view of the walk alongside the castle wall and moat:

Really Great, Andy. Just love looking at them.
I’m trying to place Kanazawa; where is it in relation to Tokyo, Yokosuka, whatever? Is it on Honshu?

It’s on Honshu on the Japan sea side rather than the Pacific Ocean side as per Tokyo.

Hi, Andy!! There are beautiful, aren’t there. I wish I was in Japan to enjoy seeing this. I can see “Sakura” in UK but it’s different. An atosphere is very different
